The ISO 9001 Quality Management System is the world’s most recognised quality management system standard. ISO 9001 has been adopted by over 1 million organisations across the world and is used by businesses like ours to continually monitor, manage and improve the quality of our products and services.

Teledyne Valeport Limited has developed a system that complies with ISO 9001:2015.  This is an international standard that gives best practice methods for achieving effective processes and improving customer satisfaction. ISO 9001:2015 is a Quality Management System that helps us to continually monitor and manage quality across all operations within the company.

It is not about generating excessive paperwork, but working effectively.  It involves all aspects of our business including dealing with customers, manufacturing, design, training of staff, controlling problems and developing ways of improving the business.

The ISO 14001 Environmental Management System has become the international standard for designing and implementing an environmental management system. Taking care of our environment, and preventing companies from causing negative impacts on the environment, are two of the most important challenges facing businesses today. One of the biggest benefits of implementing an EMS is the recognition that comes with being among those businesses that care enough to reduce their environmental footprint.

Teledyne Valeport deal with a lot of government agencies and official bodies that request that we have this system in place.  As well as being the right thing for the environment, it has now become essential if we are to remain competitive. Valeport Ltd is committed to reducing the impact of its activities on the environment and assisting our customers by encouraging them to use sustainable resources.

To this end, the Company has implemented an environmental management system to continuously improve its environmental performance.

The ISO 45001 Health and Safety Management Standard is the world’s international standard for occupational health and safety, issued to protect employees and visitors from work-related accidents and diseases. ISO 45001 certification was developed to mitigate any factors that can cause employees and businesses irreparable harm. Its standards are the result of great effort by a committee of health and safety management experts who looked closely at a number of other approaches to system management — including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Teledyne Valeport recognises and accepts the responsibilities placed on it by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other subsequent relevant legislation in establishing a minimum standard of compliance. The company is committed to complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Management System as specified in ISO 45001 and will therefore provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all employees, clients, visitors and contractors, and provide such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to achieve this standard and to exceed it whenever and wherever it is reasonably practicable to do so.

Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest level of certification offered under the Cyber Essentials scheme, an official UK wide, government-backed certification that helps companies guard against the most common cyber threats and reduce your risk by at least 80%.  Cyber Essentials Plus ensures we have the five technical controls needed in place, with cybersecurity verification completed by a CyberSmart regulated auditor.

Made in Britain brings together the British manufacturing community, united with the use of the registered collective mark. This will help buyers to recognise our products as good quality, great value and British-made. The Made In Britain mark also lets customers know that we are a trusted company that values transparency, sustainability and ethical business practices.

Fit For Nuclear (F4N) is a unique service to help UK manufacturing companies get ready to bid for work in the nuclear supply chain. F4N has been developed by the Nuclear AMRC with the support of its top tier partners, including nuclear new build developers and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.

As well as the Nuclear AMRC’s core area of high-precision mechanical engineering, F4N also covers companies that can supply control and instrumentation, electricals, and other manufactured components for nuclear plant construction and operation, as well as the specialised requirements of decommissioning.

Valeport Limited has also developed and runs a system that complies with ISO 80079-34:2020.  This is an international standard that gives best practice methods for achieving effective processes whilst complying with an issued certification and all relevant legislation.

The ISO 80079-34:2020 runs alongside and in conjunction with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and specifies particular requirements and information for establishing and maintaining a quality system to manufacture and manage Ex equipment.

(Ex equipment is for use in potentially explosive atmospheres/environments).

The Ex Management System (Ex MS), which includes IECEx and ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU which is summarised in the Ex MS Manual, which meets the requirements of ISO 80079-34:2020.
